This week I spoke about how envy negatively affects our parenting in various ways. Have you ever caught yourself flipping through other people's vacation photos, daydreaming about taking your kids to a fantastic place only to leave you feeling like your kids and family are missing out? Sometimes we think our kids want us to do these extravagant things for them on a daily basis to make life fun. However, sometimes our kids just want you to be you. As the great Roy Kent says, "Most adults think kids need to be constantly entertained. It's bull****. I didn't need a f***ing parade every day growing up, did you? Truth is they just wanna feel like they're part of our lives. Little idiots." Truth.
