These last 2 weeks I have been off work and managing the full day to day in terms of household tasks - cleaning, cooking, getting the boys to school, homework, bedtime routines, etc. Although I knew I would be doing this (and although many of these things I was already doing before these 2 weeks), the sheer volume of now doing EVERYTHING has begun to add up.
Sometimes we don't always recognize the extent of what our spouse may do on a day-to-day basis. Even in 2-physician households, the mom still tends to do most of the household chores on a daily basis compared to the dad based on several studies. It is easy to forget how much our spouses actually do, and just as easy to forget to appreciate them for it.
Listen in today as I discuss this and more.
