Finding Your Facebook as a Parent
Show Notes

Unless you have been completely disconnected from social media or the news, you probably heard about the "crashing" of Facebook for roughly 6 hours on Monday.  For some of you, this maybe meant nothing to you as you were at work and not checking up on your favorite cat memes or Marvel fan theories.

For others, the system being down had significant consequences.  For starters, many people rely on Facebook for their online business presence either through sales, ad revenue, private groups, or other avenues.  However, Facebook also is needed to run all kinds of other apps and systems like Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus VR game systems, Pokemon-Go app, and other services.  When the system went down, people who rely on these applications for monetary gain were most likely a little panicked.   Imagine if it took 2 days to bring it back online?  3 days?  A week?  The fallout could be catastrophic for some of these businesses.

How does that apply to being a parent?  In our lives, everything is connected in various ways.  Work, parenting, marriage, social relationships - they all influence one another.  When things are going well we rarely make the connection.  However, when one of these systems fails, it can lead to a cascade of negative events.

So as a parent, find out what YOUR Facebook is in your life that everything else may be connected to.   How can you improve that system in order to improve or protect those other systems.  Listen in as I discuss HOW to do this in your life.
