How Sleep Can Improve Your Parenting and Overall Health as a Dad
Show Notes

One of the biggest struggles new parents have is getting enough sleep.  Babies will wake frequently for feedings, leading to improper sleep patterns for both mom and dad.  However, even as kids get older their sleep schedules may not always improve.  The same goes for parents.  As our kids age, we seem to find more reasons to stay up late: work, hobbies, relaxing, etc.

But what if all those late nights are taking a toll on our bodies?  Poor sleep patterns in adults can increase your risk for multiple health problems, including obesity, anxiety, poor immune function, decreased focus, and even certain types of cancer.

Last week I spoke with Dr Jonar de Guzman and his training in Lifestyle Medicine.  One of the key components to this is sleep.

If you struggle with sleep, or if you want to know more about how you can make your sleep schedule better, give this week's episode a listen.
